Message: VISION

Today I want to talk to us heart to heart. I realized some of us weren’t in our mid-week service so I want to use this opportunity to repeat some of the things I said about having a vison for this year.
We just finished our 21 fasting and prayers last week (that is the pulling down and rooting out in Jer 1:10) and that is where any of us stop. Prayers! –
After prayer and fasting what do you see?
The first thing you must do this year to see and have the right vision is to THINK RIGHT!
Listen: What you see is what you think of! – Prov 23:7 (For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he)
Everyman is a product of his predominant thoughts, what he thinks he becomes
Imagination is the preview of what is to come
Albert Einstein said and I quote – We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them (in other words – you cannot solve a problem on the same platform it was created – you need a higher platform)
Listen: THOSE WHO DO NOT THINK, SHRINK
THOSE WHO DO NOT THINK, STINK
THOSE WHO DO NOT THINK, ULTIMATELY SINK
UNTIL YOU THINK RIGHT, YOU CANNOT THICK!
Tell your neighbor, this year THINK RIGHT!
What you think determines what you see and attract
A wise man once said’
Watch your thoughts – They become words
Watch your words – They become actions
Watch your actions – They become habits
Watch your habits – They become character
Watch your character – It becomes your destiny!
Your character predicts your future (It starts from your THOUGHTS)
I told us a few weeks ago, that there is NO YEAR UNTIL THERE IS A NEW YOU!
This year, you must carefully and critically look at your life and begin to consciously address and change the things you know you do but are not helping you.
Listen: ONCE IS A MISTAKE, TWICE IS AN HABIT BUT THRICE IS A LIFESTYLE!
Thinkers, Dreamers and visionaries rule the world!
What is your vision for this year? Hab 2:1-3
Any vision not written is simply a wish – (God almighty documented the Bible)
You will never leave your present position until you see where you are going and write it down!
Without vision you place limit to what God can do for you
God only gives PROVISON, where there is VISION – The supply is for the fulfilment of the VISION! (Never ask God for PROVISION when there is no VISION – That’s spiritual fraud!)
If you can see it, you can seize it
If you can picture it, you can capture it!
When God wanted to bless Abram with vast landed properties, He asked him if he could see it – Gen. 13:14-15
Ask your neighbor, what do you see?
I see success, expansion, increase, greatness, comfort, prosperity. Halleluyah!
No man ever became anything great or worth celebrating without the force of a great vision.
Listen: People don’t fail because of lack of money; people fail because of lack of vision!
Prov 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
No man can escape poverty and failure if he lacks vision for life. But success and happiness in life belongs to men and women of vision.
It means Vision is what makes men prosper!
What is Vision?
- Vision is the picture of a preferred future.
- Your vision is a mental picture of your future inspired from scripture that you must feature in.
Martin Luther said – I have a dream that one day my 2 little daughters will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character (The dream wasn’t for him so he died before it manifested)
- Your vision is your treasured future- You can’t think it, dream it and remain small
- Vision is the mental expectation of your desired end in line with scriptures
- Vision is seeing your tomorrow from today.
- Vision is seeing the end from the beginning.
- Vision is seeing the plan, blueprint and ultimate purpose of God for your life or existence.
- Basically, Vision is the picture of your glorious and enviable future and destiny – Rom. 8:18-19
THE EFFECTS OF VISION
A Vision:
- Gives Direction – it is a road map for our lives towards destiny, purpose and dreams.
- It ignites Passion– with strong emotion and fire. The clearer the vision, the stronger the passion.
- It motivates – Those who lack motivation in life truly lacks vision.
- It disciplines your actions and behavior. – You can’t have a vision to build and be a reckless spender. It helps you to create a solid structure and value system for your life. Your vision actually determines your esteemed values. Those who lack good values and virtues actually lack good vision for their lives.
- It makes you to be legacy minded/conscious
WHAT IS LEGACY?
- Legacy is what you will be remembered for
- What you leave behind for the next generation – Prov 13:22
This year be legacy minded, start thinking and planning towards your legacy! The most miserable person is one who lives for himself (Me, me, I, I – is a satanic statement and way of thinking) – Isa 14:12-14
This year, don’t live for self, live for legacy!
Think legacy, plan legacy and work towards legacy. Be a trans-generational thinker!
In closing, you can’t think legacy and think small, you can’t be a generational thinker and have a small vision!
This year, dare to dream big! Have a BIG VISION!
DO NOT BE SCARED! Because:
IF IT IS HIS WILL, IT IS HIS BILL
IF IT IS HIS PROJECT, IT IS HIS BUDGET
IF IT IS HIS VISION, HE GIVES PROVISION
RISE ON YOUR FEET!

- Father, this year help me to think right and make the right decisions in the name of Jesus.
- Father, this year supply provision for my vision in the name of Jesus
