Kingdom life operates in mysteries embedded in scriptures and until they are unveiled, we are victims of ignorance and the devil – 1 Cor 2:7, 2 Cor 4:3-4 NIV/NLT
A mystery is an unsolved puzzle till it is demystified
The Greek word for Mystery is MUSTERION, and It means something previously hidden but now fully revealed.
Now let’s dive into today’s subject – THE MYSTERY OF THE BLOOD
WHAT IS BLOOD? –
Blood is the red liquid that circulates in the arteries and veins of humans carrying oxygen to and carbon dioxide from the tissues of the body.
Blood is the transport medium by which oxygen and nutrients are carried to the body cells and waste products are picked up for excretion
In this physical realm – the blood of a man is his life, NO BLOOD, NO LIFE!
LISTEN: As it concerns the blood, the physical governs the spiritual (No man can be spiritual enough to live on this realm without his blood, even Jesus the son of God died when His blood was sacrificed on earth)
Blood is a LIFE CARRIER! So, when Jesus sacrificed His blood on the cross, He also gave and sacrificed His life!
So, that means when we drink His blood in communion, we are also drinking His life! – John 6:53-56

HOW DO WE ACTIVATE THE BLOOD COVENANT
- PLEAD THE BLOOD – Eph 1:7 AMP, Rev 12:11
In the place of prayer, we plead and use the blood of Jesus as a spiritual weapon based on the covenant that we have been saved through it for our victory over the works of the devil!
If they overcame satan by the blood of the Lamb in heaven then we can overcome him aswell on earth by pleading His blood!
- COMMUNION – Matt 26:26-28 AMP/ Luke 22:19-20 NLT
When we drink His blood in communion, we are drinking His life and renewing the blood covenant and remembering the price He paid for the remission of our sins.
- SPRINKLING THE BLOOD – 1 Pet 1:1-2, Heb 11:24-28, Ex 12: 5-7,21 NKJV
Who is the Passover lamb? Jesus – 1 Cor 5:7, John 1:29
Now someone might be saying but pastor, sprinkling of the blood is an old covenant practice that was done before Christ shed His blood.
CAN I SHOW YOU SOMETHING? – Ex 12:24-25 NKJV
It means this mystery is still valid till date! It is an everlasting covenant!
Listen: The Old Testament Passover lamb was a foreshadowing of the better and final Passover lamb (Jesus Christ) which was to be revealed.
The blood of Jesus Christ as the Passover lamb is an everlasting covenant that works forever – Heb 13:20
BENEFITS OF THE BLOOD COVENANT
- THE BLOOD SPEAKS – Heb 12:22-26
The blood of Abel cries for vengeance but can’t save while the blood of Jesus saves and speaks better things into our lives
- THE BLOOD RESTORES DOUBLE – Zech 9:9,11-12
- THE BLOOD PRESERVES & DELIVERS FROM DESTRUCTION – Ex 12:12-14
- THE BLOOD PURGES & DEALS WITH SIN – Matt 26:28 NLT
