Message: DYNAMICS OF PRAYER 2
Text – Luke 9:28-29

I started by saying during our transfiguration conference that there are 3 dimensions of prayer (Wilderness dimension, Transfiguration dimension and Agonizing/God’s will dimension)
- Wilderness Dimension: – This is the dimension of asking and seeking God for one miracle or the other. It is self-gratifying.
It is a wilderness experience! And not a pleasant place to be, it is where men are hungry and desperate for a change, so satan takes advantage of it and offers you what you are praying for on a platter of gold because he is aware of your desperation.
I said if you can pass the temptations of the wilderness you graduate into power – Luke 4:14
After you generate power in the wilderness and pass the temptation of power, fame and anointing then you graduate into the mountain of transfiguration!
- Transfiguration Dimension:
This is the dimension of light and can only be experienced through deliberate long, heartfelt prayers! At this dimension, you are transfigured into the image of Christ through prayer.
…..And as he prayed the fashion of His countenance was altered…. This is not the wilderness dimension of asking in prayer, this is the dimension of ministering to the Lord. This is the place where men are broken in prayer – where characters and old ways are altered!
Listen: Unfortunately, this is not for everybody, this is only for those that are matured or seek to grow in Christ, this was why Jesus only took 3 disciples with him to experience this dimension. Jesus had the 500, 70, 12 and the 3 – where do you fall into?
Transfiguration Dimension: At this dimension your identity in Christ is confirmed by 2 or 3 witnesses – Elijah, Moses & the Father!
This where you begin to have encounters in the place of prayer of angelic beings in the form of different men of God anointing you as witnesses. (My encounter with the late arch bishop and papa Oyedepo)
At this dimension your spiritual garment is purified – (And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered and his raiment was white and glistering)
At this dimension the Father Himself speaks and endorses you. – Luke 9:35
Enemies of Transfiguration Dimension
- Heavy Sleep – Luke 9:29-32, Matt 26:36-43
Listen: There is sleep and there is heavy sleep – sleep is of God but heavy sleep is of the devil.
Heavy sleep is sponsored by the spirit of slumber and can cost you your destiny! – 1 Cor 9:27
- Carnality & Trivialization of spiritual encounters – Luke 9:33
If Jesus were to pass through here now, some of you will bring out your phones to take selfie with Him). A moment of a life time, you trivialized it. That’s why there is no power in the church, during praise & worship when we are hosting God many are on their phones, bending their mouths for TikTok.
- Agonizing/God’s will Dimension of Prayer – Luke 22:41-44
This is highest dimension of prayer and it is a very painful and sacrificial experience. It might sometimes cost you your blood. The highest form of sacrifice is blood sacrifice!
Listen: When you spill blood as sacrifice at the altar of prayer then you have touched the heart of God!
I said to them on Friday – Any man or woman that wants to be used by God must be ready to die daily!
This kind of prayer is not self-rewarding or gratifying – it is solely for the will of God to be manifested on earth!
Listen: God cannot truly use you until you totally surrender to His will!
This is when you begin to carry and bear the burdens of God, the burden of nations, the burden of institutions and the kingdom in the place of prayer.
This is when you can be at home and a Christian child is dying in China but the parents can’t pray out loud because of the laws of the nation and the spirit of God puts the burden on you to begin to intercede and as you do you begin to feel the literal pain of the dying child’s mother in China even as you pray till the weight is lifted. – Isaiah 66:8
(Most times when you are carrying this burden and begin to travail in prayers, you feel the literal pains of a woman in labour)
This dimension of prayer is mostly for intercessors and burden carriers of God!
Many want to pray for a house, for a car for prosperity and the blessings of God but God is looking for a people that will pray down His will on earth!
Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus but are you aware they were people that sacrificed their life and prayed Him down? – Simeon & prophetess Anna – Luke 2:25-30,36-38
Listen: Prayer made outside the will of God sometimes leads to spiritual pride, number counting. (I prayed for 30 hours!)
Prayers:
Father in the name of Jesus, fill me with Your power as I pray now
Father in the name of Jesus, break me and mold me as I pray
Father in the name of Jesus transfigure me into the image of Your son Jesus
Father, use me to fulfill Your will on earth
